Sleep Deprivation

We are excited we can finally look at and play with our Bean. It is hard getting used to the lack of sleep and new lifestyle, but it is worth it. Bean looking cute below...

Harper Clementine Nixon

Happy Birthday Harper! Our Bean was born February 28, 2009 at 3:50am, weighing in at 6lbs 13oz and 19.5 inches long. The labor and delivery was about 3 hours, which seems to be good, but is excessively painful to dilate in that short period of time and leave no time for the coveted epidural. I cannot complain though because we were rewarded with a beautiful healthy girl.

Nope, She's Not Here Yet

Still waiting to meet our Bean. Don't worry, we will let everyone know when she is here and we will post pictures too. Even if she looks like an alien. Her due date is March 8th, so not much time left. I feel big and heavy, like it could be any day now, but the days come and go with no change. So we wait...

The Sweet Feeling of Freedom

Tomorrow I begin my 38th week and end my bed rest - YIPEEEEEEEEE! It now seems like Bean is all snuggled up and in no rush to meet everyone. Jeez, she's already a pill, but we love her. She is taking up a lot of space and her favorite past time seems to be doing leg squats on my ribs - ouch. Not very fun for me, but she is strong and active.

Enjoying the beautiful weather before the rain starts again. It was fantastic being outside in the sun and air. Ahhhh.

Bed Rest...

Is definitely not fun. I will be so happy to be outside, moving, and shaking once our Bean is born. Plus, all of the yummy food I will get to eat! Jamba, cereal, honey, pancakes, cookies - oh my.

I always knew I had an amazing and wonderful husband, but T has surpassed all of my expectations. He is the best husband and friend a girl could have. All of our friends and family have been great, but my Mom, Kimmy, and Claudia have shown such caring and thoughtfulness. I hope I can be as supportive and selfless for them when they need it (or in general). Ultimately, I am a lucky girl.

I'm in my 36th week - yipee!

Bean's Baby Shower

We had a wonderful time seeing everyone, eating, drinking, and talking. Bean walked away with really wonderful things. T and I are happy that she is so loved. We don't have a picture of everyone that came, but we know you were there!

Happy New Year

We didn't take any pictures of New Year's Eve, but we did have fun. I'm now 32 weeks and feel like we should probably start getting everything in order. We keep thinking how different everything will be, but have no idea how to wrap our minds around the extent of what that means. Right now we are just moving along like normal.

My belly and feet.

Merry Christmas!

Our last Christmas with just Tony and I. Not much time left before we meet our Bean. I'm 29 weeks and feeling good. We had a great time with both of our families and had many reasons to celebrate.

Venice Canal Boat Parade

We had a great time at the Boat Parade. We enjoyed appetizers, walked around the canals, had yummy food for dinner and dessert, sat around the fire and hung out. There was also fabulous margaritas and wine, so I hear.

Everyone but Kate, who is taking the picture...

Dinner...yum!

Who's tummy looks bigger? Kevin can make his go back to normal a lot faster than I can. At least we are spreading peace and joy for the holiday season :)
