A Day at the Zoo With Olivia

The girls had a great time, but it was scorching out.  We cut the day short in order to cool off.

Mylar Balloons - Who Knew?

Who knew they could provide endless entertainment for adults and children alike...This went on for about an hour.  Spooner came to visit and these are the only photo's we have of the weekend.  Oh well!  We all had a great time and it was good to see him.

Post Easter Egg Hunt Waffles

Tony makes the BEST waffles.  Although that isn't a surprise it should still be recognized.  So, after the Easter basket and egg hunt we started on breakfast.  After breakfast we headed over to the Greenheck's house for an afternoon BBQ and some more egg hunting.

she already knows how to do more than i do in the kitchen.

tony finishing off the waffles and bacon.

she's ready to eat!

Easter Morning

We had an Easter egg hunt in our living room after she woke up and found her Easter basket.  She is a big fan of any holiday that involves chocolate, toys and treats.

Descanso Gardens

i think she was singing...or talking.  she is a very emotive speaker.
We had a great family day at Descanso Gardens in Pasadena Easter weekend.  Our Harper is a sweet and fun girl.  We rode the mini train, had lunch, walked around and smelled all of the flowers.

the flowers were all in bloom and beautiful.

Easter Cookies

We went over to Moxie and Gardner's house to make some yummy Easter cookies yesterday.  I would say they were a success!  Nicely decorated and delicious.  The kids were so patient and they did a great job.  Not to mention the reward to cookie making is eating them.  The most torturous part is waiting for them to bake, cool, decorate and then finally eat them.  Of course I am not in any pictures since I'm always behind the camera... Oh well.  Must try to do better with that.

Happy St. Patty's Day

aka Happy You're Alive Day Nana...we will always be thankful that you survived the car crash and it can now be a distant memory.  I think the luck o'the Irish kept you safe.

Jonathan was in town and came over for dinner.  We started out only making shepherds pie, but it soon turned into a delicious feast of homemade Irish soda bread, fava beans and Guinness to round it all out.  YUM!  I love that Tony is such an amazing cook.  I think Harp and I are officially spoiled when it comes to food.
